Peer Support
What is peer support?
Peer Support can be provided through one-to-one or small-group interactions. Individuals will gain a better understanding of community resources, gain new social connections, and work on developing a positive self-image.
A peer counselor is an individual with a disability who will share experiences, provide support and education, as well as serve as a positive role model for the client.
JOIN us at the CICIL Cross-Disability Peer Support Group
These events will be open to adults with any disability to teach and learn from one another. Group members will find a safe space to build community and share lived experiences with one another. Peers and staff will share skills, knowledge, and resources.
